NEW! Veterans Suicide Prevention Act Becomes Law
On November 5, 2007, the President signed the Joshua Omvig Veterans Suicide Prevention Act. This law mandates mental health training for Veterans Affairs (VA) staff, a suicide prevention counselor at each VA medical facility, and mental health screening and treatment for veterans who receive VA care.
